I am an applied medical anthropologist with a background in public health with over 20 years of research experience. In my current position, as qualitative co-investigator at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), HSR&D Center of Innovation on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, in Tampa, FL, I take a lead role in the design, analysis and dissemination of qualitative and mixed-methods research pertaining to health services. I bring an anthropological perspective, both methodologically and theoretically, to better understand complex Veteran’s health issues. I am specifically committed to better understanding how cultural processes can influence health, health behavior, and health access.
