Sandra Winter, PhD, OTR/L is a Health Science Specialist at the Center of Innovation on Disability and Rehabilitation Research VISN8 and an occupational therapist on research studies within the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System, Gainesville, FL. Dr. Winter is the interim director of the Institute for Mobility, Activity, and Participation (I-MAP), College of Public Health and Health Professions, University of Florida and a research assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, UF. Dr. Winter is an author on more than twenty peer-reviewed journal articles, has presented her research at numerous professional conferences, and mentors undergraduate and graduate students in UF's College of Public Health and Health Professions. Her research interests are: community mobility; driving safety intervention; driver screening; activity, participation and health; and health promotion.
